Cornhole Bags – Where to buy & How To Make Your Own

If you’re interested in buying some cornhole bags, make sure to buy from someone who makes them the right way. Sometimes people put beans or filler inside the bags instead of actual feed corn.

The feed corn produces a dust that layers the board after you play with the bags over time. The dust on the board is an important part of the game.

Cornhole bags that are made with actual feed corn will lose weight over time.

Cornhole Bags – Weight and Dimensions

Regulation cornhole bags, (according the the American Cornhole Association) are made to weigh 1 pound and measure 6 inches by 6 inches. To clarify, the finished bag after it’s sewn together, should be approximately 6x6 rather than the measurement of the bag prior to sewing it together.

***NOTE*** All of my cornhole bags are triple stitched. Some say you need to make them with nylon thread, or use other fancy sticking patterns, but since I have been making cornhole bags, I have always triple stitched mine and they never break.
